Alleged Brutin

about this beer

Alleged Brutin is a Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout brewed with Vanilla Beans. When we say this beer drinks larger than it is, we mean it. Built upon a complex roasty stout, Alleged Brutin aged in Sons of Liberty Bourbon Barrels for two months before conditioning on vanilla beans and being packaged.

Up front, you're hit with an overwhelming sensation of chocolate and vanilla, which leads way to a balanced profile of molasses, chocolate, roast coffee, and oak.

I had been trying, for years, to source this hop, but it has never been available to United States home-brewers before this past winter. Thanks to Yakima Valley Hops, however, that changed. I immediately placed an […]
