Field of Fire

about this beer

Aptly named for its fruits, field of fire is a bombshell of dragonfruit and strawberries. This beer has notes of earth, subtle dragonfruit tendencies, and big juicy strawberry. It is a thirst quencher, meant to put out any fire on the palate.

Field of Fire is a fruited variant of one of our house sours, Barrel 2. Barrel 2 imparts notes of grassiness, a slight puckering tartness, and what can be described as barnyard funk. the fruits have been chosen to accent Barrel 2’s matured beer.

I had been trying, for years, to source this hop, but it has never been available to United States home-brewers before this past winter. Thanks to Yakima Valley Hops, however, that changed. I immediately placed an […]
