Terroir 001

about this beer

Terroir is an exploration into beer, wine, and the blurred lines between the two. This beer begins life as a Golden Ale, generously hopped with Nelson and Mandarina Bavaria to accent the flavors, aromas, acidity, and terroir of the wine grapes chosen. We utilize hand-selected grapes from the United States, Italy, France, Germany, South America, and South Africa. Every edition of Terroir is different from the last – each grape has its own personality and expression. The beer is refermented in bottles to allow for a dry, tannic, and thoughtfully expressive final product.

Share this beer with loved ones, friends, family, strangers. Drink it in celebration, or in honor, of those who are important in your life.

Riwaka™ is a hop I have been fascinated with ever since I first tried Hill Farmstead's Riwaka Pale Ale. I had been trying, for years, to source this hop, but it has never been available to United States home-brewers before this past winter. Thanks to Yakima Valley Hops, however, that changed.
